The Volunteer, Sutton Abinger

Dropped in when on the way through Abinger and I received a warm welcome from attentive, friendly staff. Pint was lovely.

Location is indeed special and I will certainly be coming back in summer to catch some sun on the terrace.

The Morpeth Arms, Pimlico

Dropped in here for a couple after a day at The Oval and it was one of those sunny days that Londoners pine for. Even if I remove the late-in-the-day sun advantage it was a good time spent.

The interior is certainly worth a look through and I agree with Chris (27/6/04) as to traffic on Millbank but being on a corner we opted for the side street where it was quieter.

The Redan, Westbourne Grove

The Redan is maintaining a traditional pub atmosphere in a Queensway area of increasing Mid-Eastern quisine.

Large numbers of travelers mix with locals enjoying a variety of largers and ales. Wines generally the average aussie drop. Food very competitely priced at two mains for 7.

The Prince Bonaparte, Westbourne Grove

A very solid Notting Hill performer. Youngish crowd of regulars that make the place busy all week. Food more than decent but you're probably going there for a couple to catch up with friends.
