The Salisbury, Harringay

Look, I'm a local and go here a lot but may stop because many of the bar staff can't pour a pint of ale. They just sit it on the tray and press pour. That's just not good enough and I've been given so many flat pints lately. Landlord please sort your staff out because I'm starting to drift away. Btw I'm in my 30's, not an old barfly.

The Albion, Barnsbury

Its a shame but The Albion has really gone downhill in 2010.

The service used to be good and came here lots but now its nothing sort of terrible. The staff look sullen and stressed. We came one sunday recently and were made to wait 50 mins for our main course while they fawned over two big table outside. No apologies. Then they brought us the wrong dishes. Then the right ones. Which were cold. We complained but the staff didn't really care we had had a bad experience. They're making lots of money at the Albion but i think its made them a bit complacent. Avoid it and go to the Duke of Cambridge in Canonbury. Really friendly service and great food.

The Londesborough, Stoke Newington

We had our wedding reception here in May 2010. The food, service and organisation (especially by Annie the manager) were superb. Everything went like clockwork and so many people in our party said how great the place was afterwards. Would recommend it to anyone thinking of having a pub reception or a party of anykind. Top notch.

The Rose and Crown, Stoke Newington

At the weekends this pub is now full of childrena and crying babies. This means that if you want to enjoy a nice meal (the food is good) you can't relax because there's just screaming kids everywhere.

Its local to me and used to come here alot but just can't relax here now. Shame.

Spaniards Inn, Hampstead Heath

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT LOTS OF SCREAMING KIDS AROUND YOU.

Its a nice pub and the food is good but it is sadly let down by the fact that it is full of screaming babies and children in pushchairs at the weekend.

The pub needs to do something about this because we will not be back as we couldn't relax during our meal. It spoilt the enjoyment of it completely. If you want to eat in a kindergarden then you'll love it!

The Londesborough, Stoke Newington

Hi have been a regularly to this pub for a few years now.

I have been in a couple of times recently since the refurb and new managemnt takeover.

The service has improved but the wallpaper at the back of the pub is vile and a real turn off. I quite like the can collection but having the wallpaper as well is just over kill. iot gives you a head ache and feels cold and unfriendly.

I had the steak which was nice but over priced at 15. it was not sirloin but rump as it was a bit fatty and tough. It had an insignificant amount of mash on teh side. come on guys gives us some real portions. i'm all for nice plate presentation but don't get a reputation as stingy. its just all over london these days!

better furniture in the garden. but please change that wall paper!

The Twelve Pins, Finsbury Park

The Twelve Pins is a great pub - the way pubs used to be. Full of a diverse range of characters propping up the bar.

The staff are great. I always get served within about 5 seconds even when its quite busy. I go to some of the pubs in Stoke Newington and Hackney where you wait 10 minutes while some amateur ponces about behind the bar not doing much of anything. Go to the Pins and see how a proper bar person should be.

The food is good and cheap. Not keen when its Arsenal day but then I'm not an Arsenal fan.
