its a bit awful really, amongst my social group easily seen as the "worst" pub in fleet (aside from the prince arthur)

i don't really understand the skaterboi comment, the guy who you refer to is called mike, he has left wetherspoons now and works for costa. so same service, just with coffee.
as for the prince arthur itself? i find the staff disagreeable and the management egotistical, but thats not my place.

agree on the newcastle brown, i have no clue what you're talking about, we just have the casks. sunday and tuesday are fun, although tuesday is a lot quieter. and yes, the smoking area is now the "center" of the pub, this does mean that non smokers must walk through a smoking area, however at the moment there are more smokers than non, and the people who worry about the smoke are usually there for food and one or two drinks, which means it is a lot more useful if the people who will be going back and forth to the bar the most, are closest to the bar
overall a nice pub, i like it.
