The Hermits Cave, Camberwell

Best pub in London for me, very very diverse bunch, a very drop in for a quick one type corner bar, not too many nutters, great selection of beers and the Heineken is kept very well, nice and friendly staff, punters are mostly chatty. Gets going after 9pm not too trendy, marvellous ornaments above bar, nice seating, always looks full because it's so small.

The Rye Pub, Dining Room and Garden, Peckham Rye

Food is very weel presented and over priced slightly for what it is, however Sunday roast is best in London, beers pricey, but it is so for the middle class clientele to ensure the riff raff keep out. Lovely atmosphere, great lighting, sometimes people can be a bit 'Norf London' in their edginess, I have witnessed post menopausal ladies bickering over seats here. Gay friendly, dog friendly, good location, beer so-so.

The Cadeleigh Arms, Peckham

Marvellous welcome, rubbish furniture, good beers, nice and quiet but nice warm atmosphere on weekends, a very good back street family run Irish pub.

The Nags Head, Peckham

NIce pub, very welcoming, very daunting from the outside, black tinted windows doesn't help, horrible decor, annoying one armed bandits. Kronenbourg is kept very well. Friendly staff. great location, definately a future gem, but not yet.

The Wishing Well, Peckham

Nice pub, probably the best traditional pub in Peckham, well kept original bar with ornamental clock and mirrors. Separate pool room, which is not very relaxing. But other room is relaxing, good overall.

The Gowlett Arms, Peckham

Great pizza, probably the best I've had in the UK. Lots of guest ales that are continually changing, which are kept poorly most of the time that I try them, great atmospehere, very friendly, child friendly and dog friendly, the dogs annoy me, as they are allowed in the dining area, but I'm not a dog lover. Overall probably the best 'new style pub' in Peckham for me. Lovely slate tiles on the walls of mens bogs, friendly bar staff, nice decor, light and airy, pool table, regulars are friendly too, not a cliquey pub at all, good mixed crowd with a wide ranging age range too.
