It's a pretty pub now and certainly very popular but I have to agree with WINKLER1. It is very strange that the sell their burger with chips as an extra. This bumps the price up quite significantly. It wasn't even very good, certainly not for the price. It also strikes me as being a bit, well, "sleight of hand".
MATTBOYMX, you don't have to delve deeper, you can better and cheaper if you go down to The Montpelier.
Anyway, it's certainly a positive addition to the area; these guys know how to run a decent pub and the staff have always been very friendly. It will do well, and so it should.
I like the idea that it also had B&B rooms, which look lovely on the website.

Much improved post refurb, great service even though it was busy and the food is top notch.
Couldn't agree less with previous poster, and fine if you want a curry or pizza go elsewhere because they are not on menu. Food is evidently fresh and not reheated / boil in bag such as in majority of other pubs. Fish lasagne and salmon pie were sublime. When in London if you want a pub meal approaching anything half decent you have to more often than not delve a little deeper into those pockets.
Music was also spot on.
Will definitely be going back.

Now the Victoria. Capital pub co - full redo. Crowd appeared on opening night - never seen here previous to that - and have kept up the tempo so far.
Central London pricing. Local chef doing an exotic menu - mostly liked it seems.
Meantime brewery on tap -2 of - and Sharps ' Cornish ' ale. Brooklyn beer in bottles are some of the drinks on the list.

Nice beer and good atmosphere. Staff very nice also. Have eaten here twice and would not recommend the food to anyone. Very, very expensive and sh1te - 9.50 for an average burger with chips not included... You'd be better off having a few beers here then going to the gowlett for a pizza or ganapatti for a curry.
