The Greyhound, Wilton

Nice pub has been much improved by new management. Food is good but if it was a few quid cheaper I'm sure they'd make a killing. Think they should also have an affordable daily special (curry/hot pot/chilli etc) that would tempt in a more regular food crowd. Went to a quiz night which was good - perhaps landlord should think twice before letting his teenage daughter loose on the mic though.

Bell Inn, Wilton

Unfortunately this pub isn't what it used to be since Keith and Angie left. Surly landlady plays the fruitie in her slippers - nuff said.

The Wooden Spoon, Downton

Called in for lunch yesterday and recommend others do this as this is a pub worth supporting. Excellent haddock and chips (freshly fried with home cut chips) and the fish pie and lamb tagine was also greatly enjoyed. Good traditional surroundings and friendly landlady but, more importantly, a top drawer pint of GBF from the Hopback brewery round the corner. We then walked it off with a stroll around the Moot just across the road. What a pub should be.
