The Little Angel, Remenham

Really nice pub. Interesting decor. Lovely food and idyllic setting, even on a blowy March afternoon with a 1 year old daughter to control. Need high chairs I think!

The Mill at Elstead, Elstead

Really nice pub in nice surroundings. we were there on a Sunday and had been walking in the surrounding countryside. Were slightly alarmed to see loads of large expensive looking cars in the car park, and wondered if we would be a bit underdressed. The staff were really friendly and nice beer. The food was delicious. Nicely cooked and served hot - not always guarenteed when ordering a Sunday roast! They were lovely with our 8 month old baby girl, heated up her meal in a microwave with no fuss and found us a high chair. The fire was warm and the pub surroundings very nice. We're looking forward to going back in the summer and sitting out by the millrace.

Trinity, Harrow

My local and I love it!
The staff very nice indeed. Very understanding when you take your brother there on his stag night dressed as Daffyd!

The Flower Pot, Aston

We've been going here for lazy days by the river for ages. I like it best on cold frosty days when everything is ice white and you duck in for a pint an a really good meal. The staff are always lovely. If you can go there during the Royal Regatta. My mates and I were rowing the length of the Thames this year and paddled through on the first day. We camped at Hurley lock, but stopped off at the flower pot for our evening meal. Lovely sunny day and ate in the garden at the back. Lots of room for the tiddlers to run around and wow at the guinea fowl. The patio was taken up by a band from Vesta Rowing Club with one guy playing the saw!. Some of their female companions were dancing freely thanks to an good oiling that I think had been going all day!

The Hurtwood Inn, Peaslake

We went to this pub on a Sunday. We'd be tramping around the North Downs and targetted it for lunch. Despite being a bit muddy, we were allowed to sit in a very nice part of the bar and had a very nice meal indeed. The roast lan[mb shank was delicious. I think some might want the service to be a bit speedier, but we were in no rush, so weren't bothered. Nice puds too. STP is always the ultimate test of a good pub and it came up to scratch.
