The Barrels, Hereford

Superb selection of great value real ales. Buzzing atmosphere, normally packed. Upholds ethos of what a good town pub should be.

Glass House Inn, May Hill

Superb food with huge portions, extremely friendly landlord. Great place for large group meals. Traditional Ale keept in barrels laid flat behind the bar. Not open Sundays.

The Green Man Inn, Fownhope

Lesson on how a large pub chain can destroy a village pub by seeking to remove individualism, atmosphere and by attempting to change the decor to resemble that of a chinese takeaway (fluorescent fish tanks!) Go next door to the New Inn if you want a decent pint; last pint of lager I had at the Green Man tasted like floor cleaner.

The Nags Head, Great Malvern

16 different beers on draught and some real cider. Always packed with young and old alike which has to be a good sign. CAMRA pub of the year.

The Bell Inn, Bosbury

Well kept selection of real ales. Tenants Rob & Alison extremely friendly and supportive of local community groups. Reliable quality food. Good village pub.

The Prince of Wales, Ledbury

Best selection of real ale and continental beers in Ledbury by some distance. The 'Timmermans' draught strawberry beer is a good refreshing summer alternative. Great place to while away an evening with friends, just remember not too swear and be prepared for the consequences of too many pints of Doombar the day after!

The Feathers Hotel, Ledbury

Remember to take out a second mortgage if you want to go and sample some of the Feather's overpriced poorly kept ales. The miserbleness of the landlady is developing into somewhat of a local legend, 'Please could you go out on the street and annoy somebody else now!'... Good whisky selection; again priced as if imported from pluto.

New Inn, Fownhope

The sign recently 'edited' in the car park really says it all, 'No food evenings or weekends, just bloody good beer!'. Traditional local village pub with hub centred around a bar providing 3 real ales kept in consistently excellent condition. Friendly staff and lively banter.
