That's a pretty pathetic statement - one of 70 pubs voted for by the Daily Telegraph, yet nothing from CAMRA or the British Beer and Pub Association or the European Beer Consumers Union

Warm and welcoming pub with friendly bar staff and some witty banter among the regulars. A must visit pub.

The Hare and Hounds, Corsham
To clarify. CAMRA say that the Hare and Hounds is not the best pub in Wiltshire and never has been (camra.org.uk). The 'cask marque' is purchased from the Cask Marque Trust by pubs that pay �150.00 (+VAT), it is not an unbiased award for achievement (cask-marque.co.uk). A search of the Gazette and Herald web site yields no mention of the Hare and Hounds ever having been voted the best anything (gazetteandherald.co.uk). "Wiltshire's Best Pub..." - who says?
