Visited a year or so ago with my Colombian wife.

We were both highly impressed by the food.

To be recommended.

Not a nice place.

Disgustingly smoky and a pretty paltry selection of ales on offer.

Central, St Andrews

Last time I ate there, about five years ago, the food was revolting. I had an utterly grotty yorkshire pudding filled with a very disdainful sausage and some limp veg.

On my way south, I stopped off at Kendal and had the same dish at a most pleasant pub, which turned out to be completely delicious.

The Westport, St Andrews

This place was best back before it became the Westport.

In 1991, it was still called the Britannia and was run by a dear old lady who served warm bottles of MacEwans Export to gents and soft drinks to the lassies.

Such a shame that she was ousted and the place changed to woo a "trendier" clientele.
