Outrageously priced nondescript place you only visit as a last resort cos your train is late. Better off buying some tinnies from the shop next door and drinking them on the platform.

The Brown Cow, York

Used to come here fairly often as a student but it deteriorated badly in the early 90s (as did the nearby Spread Eagle) due to an increasing smackhead contingent. Wouldn't dare go in these days.

The Bootham Tavern, York

Decent atmosphere, good place to watch sport. The odd numbnut but it's retained a cosy feel over the years.

@oneofthekingsmen - Camerons is brewed in Hartlepool. Name me some of the other "crap things" to have come out of Sunderland......

BTW I also dislike this place intensely, an amusement arcade masquerading as a pub.
