Yates's, Hounslow

I can't understand why everyone has jumped on Cheeky's back over this.

I believe this website was created so people could give an honest opinion on the pub's they've been in, perhaps so the management can take heed and try and cater for all tastes. I'm aware that you can't please everyone, but you can try!

I have to admit, I've read through all of Cheeky's comments in his profile (boy, you sure do get around) and find he gives his honest opinion and how the bars/pubs can possibly improve. It's a lot more useful than just saying: Good pub, bad pub - nobody can learn anything from that! He also gives an accurate description of what he dislikes, which is a lot better than some of the comment below which simply state: "Full of Eastern Europeans and slags". There is no positives you can take away from that, at least Cheeky's giving positives to his negatives.

You can learn a thing or two from him!

And p.s. - Yates' really must need to improve if it's only getting a rating of 4.2/10 from 18 users. But maybe you're so busy, you don't really care about your customers' enjoyment. If that's the case, the only happiness money can buy for is the fat cats in control of Yates Bars Ltd.

The King's Arms, Twickenham

I can't write anything additional to what's already been said.

Very nice pub, nice staff, nice customers. Nice.

This is a pub I just don't "get" - it's a really nice pub with great regulars and bar staff - but it's not as busy as it used to be in it's heyday.

The landlord has tried his best to try and coax people into going in there again, but it's all been to no avail. One half of the bar though has been shut for WAY too long though, it's becoming a bit tedious now.

I'm still giving this pub top marks, because I always enjoy coming in here. A great range of people and always good fun, some deals on the drinks would be more welcoming though! ;)

The Black Horse, Hounslow

Excellent curry, fast and efficient service and a good range of drinks affordably priced.

This pub has vastly improved under it's new management.

By the way, did I mention it's excellent curry?!

The Jolly Farmer, Hounslow

Nice and twee, but not much atmosphere.

Not the sort of place you wanna spend a Friday or Saturday night.

The Bulstrode, Hounslow

The do nice dinners here, but I'm not too sure about anything else, I found the staff very ignorant and unprofessional.

Avoid on football nights. You will get wet!

The Moon Under Water, Hounslow

It's hard to form an opinion on this pub. Yeah, sure the beer is cheap - but the lecherous old men are nasty.

I generally hate Wetherspoon pubs cos it doesn't know what demographic to allure to. Dirty, drunken, smell old men or flirtatious, slutty and young girls and boys who've just come out of school?

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, mad world that Mr J D Wetherspoon has conjured up.

The Wishing Well, Hounslow

I love the Irish - except those who drinking this pub.

Lecherous dirty old men, still drinking the same pint at 6pm that they started at lunchtime.

Dingy!

The Bell, Hounslow

Again, Cheeky is correct -

"The Bell-End of Hounslow" is a fitting tribute to this side of town. I was thinking about labelling it, a dingy squalor but Mr. Shepherd's words are far more poetic!

The Sun, Hounslow

There are some great bands who play in here, a great pub with great food and efficient bar staff.

One of the best pubs on offer in Hounslow!

Shannons, Hounslow

Ugh!

Close this pub down - it used to be okay on a Sunday, but has always been a notorious blackspot for trouble on a Friday and Saturday night.

I pass by frequently and it's always filled with asylum seekers and Eastern Europeans, I'd like to give this place a try - but the atmosphere always seems far too dark and intimidating.

The Duke Of Cambridge, Hounslow

A vast improvement over the last couple of months. I wouldn't drink in here often, but it's worth a few hours of your time on a Saturday night.

Harveys in the Town / Larkin Inn, Hounslow

I'd enjoy this pub a lot more if it was a little bit cleaner.

Saying that, it is the best pub on the high street.
