I was the only customer here on a Saturday afternoon. The place had a very strange smell. Two televisions, one showing a British channel and other showing an Irish channel were competing for attention with the music. I never see the point in having both on, especially when there are no customers! No real ales. Other drinks were expensive. I guess it's much more lively in the evening. But my first impressions were not good.

I heard this pub was under new management so went in for a nosey - what a suprise!!!! The new landlady has a smile as big as Ireland, bubbly and friendly she greeted me and my fella with a warm welcome and poured him the best pint of guiness in Hounslow. When the weekend approached we thought we'd go back and check out the live bands on saturday and sunday - what a craic..... What a turnaround for this pub, we will definately be back this sunday for Karaoke - finally, in Hounslow we have found a new local !!!!

hi all this little gem of a pub could have been the best pub in middlesex
only for the companies that own hav,nt got a clue they just let any twat run it and run it to the ground at that, i dont know who manages it now but it aint owned by the wishing well group now as half the other wishing well pubs are up for sale for a 15k lease.and the other half are being run by the bar group.com if you look up that site you,l see for your self. as an ex manager of this pub and was a very good one at that. i knew who to keep control of it and all the assholes kept out of it and good folk in it,with good music and good craic.i always have my eye on this place and when its on the market for free hold sale il be back and it will be a good pub again.so to the good locals that drink there there is hope and it wont be called the wishing well it will be called its proper name not some chain name........THE FRIEND IN HAND.........lets get it back..........................WATCH THIS SPACE.

This place was reasonably busy a couple of days ago with local office workers popping in for lunch to sample their Thai food. There is a small restaurant area at the rear that leads to a beer yard out the back with some covered and uncovered seating. The Governor seemed to be a nice chap, but unfortunately I had to endure the rest of the 'Cash in the Attic’ program that I had started to watch in the Lord Palmerston. This time it was playing on 2 plasmas!

Standard lagers and Guinness are available and there are 2 unused ale pumps. Maybe they should try hooking them up to something as the Wetherspoons next door was full of people drinking real ale.

It’s quite a cosy little pub that does live music and it sounds like it has improved from the previous comments. That said I can’t see myself going out of my way to go to any of the pubs this end of Hounslow High Street.

Was closed due to fire in the Celler but was NEVER up to Let..Now reopened after a refurb...has been well done out..nice carpet and also now with a couple of flat screens..same grotty toilets though..(well the Gents is anyway)..so is this a new start for the old Friend in Hand..dont think so as it would appear that Harryoke bloke and his sad hangers on (groupies??) will also be back...O and of course someone has to pay for this...Yes you so a bit pricey (Fosters £2.90 a pint) Weatherspoons so only a few yards away (£2.29)
