Angies, Holloway

Yes, I have to agree with A.B.R. there.
It's quite a nice pub decor wise, but is quite sterile and lacks atmosphere.

The Crown, Upper Holloway

I Don't know what drumandmonkey is on about.
Ann is a lovely landlady!
Great pub for watching football, and the friendly local regulars that give as good as they get in the banter department!
Oh, and yes! The Guinness gets a 10/10 score easily the best in the area if not London.
It takes an Irish lady to know how it should be served, not a New Zealander, Aussie, South African etc... etc....

The Quays, Holloway

Yes, a jewel in the dust!
The Quays is a great pub.
Excellent food at decent prices, but you need to time carefully if you are planning a meal because of the sport, (Arsenal Games) that are shown there.
You won't get much peace when they are on!!
Otherwise, this is a very highly rated pub to eat and for entertainment in the area.

The Coronet, Holloway

A typical Wetherspoon pub with fairly regular no thrills Wetherspoon food.
The only minus point that I can say about the place is that it is far too large for it's own good!

The Landseer, Holloway

A much improved pub since Mick Hucknall left!
Any reader who used to use the Landseer a while back and know the old landlord will know exactly what I mean?(Enough said!)
I'm pleased to say that "P.C.", (the pub cat) still puts in an appearance from time to time, and I would recommend this Gastro Bar to anybody visiting the area.
(A special message for a regular there - "it's ABOVE the line!"
