Fantastic country pub with a friendly vocal landlord and a very knowledgeable landlady. 14 ales and several ciders on offer. I had the Gun Dog,Devon Darter,Black Abbot,Quantock Stout and Black Boar. All kept well and cracking pints. I will return!! Check this place out!!

Couldn`t fault this place,what a proper pub should be. Decent ale,character, quirky, good conversation. Loved it!!

Great pub,we popped in for a few before watching the mighty Exeter City play rovers. Friendly landlord,new his beer. The Durdle Door was top notch.
Well worth a visit if you can find it.

What can I say! Fantastic pub. I was a visiting Exeter City fan on Feb 12th and was made to feel very welcome. Friendly chat to the locals,2 very friendly barmaids who loved our Devonshire accent,and superb ale of which the Screech Owl was my fave. My kind of pub,go visit.

Went here on the 12th March,saw the signs saying if you show your CAMRA membership card you will receive a discount. I showed mine to the chap behind the bar and he said the beers are already heavily discounted,so no discount. Had one beer then left, Very disappointed!!!!!!
