The Prince of Wales, Fleet

We've used this pub for a few years for an occasional good value, good quality pub lunch. The beer is always good and prices keen. Last went in January and the meal was nowhere near as good as it has been. I don't know what's changed but what ever it is it's not an improvement.

The Half Way Inn, Aberystwyth

Often take our student son here for a good feed when we visit him at Aber. We are always recognised even though we are such occasional visitors. Food is hearty, honest and home cooked just what you need after a day in the hills. Good beer, friendly services, lovely dog and stunning views.

The Hop Blossom, Farnham

We've used this pub for more years than I care to remember. It never disappoints, warm and hospitable, good beer, log fires when you need them. Reasonably priced bar food. A good British pub with no pretentious.

The Coach and Horses, Rotherwick

Visited with the family for a lunch yesterday (a Saturday)for the first time in many years. Beer was excellent, well kept and served. Food a real disappointment. After looking at the menu online we arrived to find a much reduced lunch time menu. My lasagne was clearly a warmed up plate from a previous evening with hard dry edges all round and one of the burgers was pretty much cremated. Salad a handful of bag leaves with a bit of tomato and a couple of slices of cucumber. Plentiful chip but standard and frozen. Prices reasonable for this area and would have been good for the local produce and home cooked food advertised. Such a shame as this is a lovely traditional English pub and could be so much better. Wood burning stoves were not lit so I kept my coat on.
