The George and Dragon, Swanscombe
A real man's pub? I'd say a real ale pub for either gender, actually. They've given the local area something to cherish at last. The pub even has it's own brewery - Caveman. Great choice of ales on pump and in bottles. Friendly and completely unpretentious. And no, I don't work there.

Probably the best local in the area although not sure the beers are always that fresh...

The Grape and Grain, Crystal Palace
Firstly...live music is much much better than Sky Sports or somesuch boring nonsense. I discovered this pub last March and have been quite a bit - it didn't look that great outside but the ales and the friendly atmosphere brought me back. There is always a great selection of well kept ales, porters etc. I've been when there is live music and when there is not. The quiz is pretty fun on a Thursday too. However, the pub can be calm!

The Cask, Pimlico
It's like a mini beer festival on every visit. If you want to taste something before commiting to a pint, that's fine. No sports screens either. Bonus!
