The New Queen Inn, Christchurch

Have had a nice gastropub-style meal here but it lacks the cosy atmosphere I like in a pub. Recently had to request a refund and walk out as was waiting for food for over half an hour to be told "it's next in the queue". Not sure if this is a rare occurrence or not but has definitely tainted my view of the place. Does have a good, interesting beer selection though.

Mooz, Christchurch

Now called Remo, a tapas bar. Not a pub so not sure why it's featured here.

The Lamb Inn, Winkton

Lovely interior, beer was good. I think food finished at 2.30, we walked in at 2.33 so didn't get to sample it. Always seems to be a bit quiet though, possibly due to location. Good for a pint on the way home.

The Nelson, Mudeford

Good pub with a nice and cosy wood burner that serves good Thai & Traditional food daily. There's a snack menu offered when the kitchen is closed between lunch and dinner, and a carvery and buffet on Sundays. Always a great selection of ales and a huge selection of spirits. Dogs are allowed (the pub has two jack russells of its own) and kids are welcome too (although I think the kids menu ends at 6.30). A good, friendly local.

The Wig and Gown, Highbury

Very sporting. 7(?) TVs and football-fan beer choice (ie. only lager and bottled ale). Nice food.
