" Some friends had asked me to go and meet them here, and I must admit reading below I was very dubious about trekking out to this pub, if I was going to be treated like this.
I can say though that we had a great time and although it was very busy, the service was tops. Because it was busy they did miss out on some more drinks from us, but that is their loss.
Would go back. "

' Don't know if I would travel across London to eat here as the reviewer below has done, but I have always had good food and even saw the chef talking to customers one day. Service could be more personable though. '

The Old Bank of England, Fleet Street
" What a magnificent building, did not expect to see anything like this for a pub. Had a London Pride, which was superb and a great ( if expensive ) scampi sandwich. Will go back, as when I was leaving discovered they have a secluded beer garden at the rear of the building. "

" Haven't been here for a couple of years, but went twice in December for Christmas parties. Ale was well kept and service good considering we were not easy customers. Didn't eat, but will go in the New Year as menu looked good and chefs on display in an open kitchen. "
