The Star, Highgate

Lovely interior, good juke box, good choice of wines and beers, food very tasty but portions sometimes a bit small

Have been put off more recently by making the walk to this pub only to find the whole place closed for a party or an event - would help if they put up a notice the week before. A bit put off by the large number of children in the pub late on a Saturday night.

The Dartmouth Arms, Dartmouth Park

Favourite pub in the area for eating, always good food, well cooked and good value. Much more pleasant since the smoking ban, although this does mean that some of the staff are always outside on a "smoke break"! Downsides - staff a little indifferent and seem to hate clearing tables.

Bar Lorca, Tufnell Park

Love this place - go regularly and spend far too much money! Staff very friendly, drinks average price (cocktails 6) and food is good.

The Pineapple, Kentish Town

Tried this pub yesterday for the first time, on the recommendation of a neighbour. First impression was a bit cliquey because of the large group of obvious regulars sitting all around the bar, however the place was friendly enough with plenty of choice of seating.

Can echo previous comments about the rather disinterested service, and one of our group was blatantly ignored for several minutes whilst other customers who arrived later were served.

Very surprised that a pub that serves food doesn't also serve coffee. Never mind, mother-in-law went on the Pernod instead!

On balance will definitely revisit.

The Junction Tavern, Kentish Town

Been drinking in the Junction for about three years and feel it is going downhill as a pub.

The restaurant remains good, but almost every part of the pub side has been marred by the stench of drains for the last three months.

The place continues to have pretensions - it's only a pub!
