The Dog and Duck, Soho

Pleasant enough, feel as if in the nitty gritty of Soho when in here; especially when on the upper floor which is a pleasant little bar with a good view of the goings on on the streets of Soho.

The Palm Tree, Mile End

This is a great pub. It has a nice blend of old locals, students, young couples and decent local and recently moved to the area people. The beer is not too exspensive and it is a great place to drink in the summer as it is by the canal and a fair bit of green. The music is also at a reasonable level so you can have a conversation too. The best thing is, is that some how all the sections formentioned who frequent here also get along well. Top pub!

The Coborn Arms, Bow

Nice big pub right near where I live and I go there on sundays mainly. It has a alround good feel to it and the food is A1. Much better than the trendy lefty Morgan Arms further down. Recommended for a nice relaxing afternoon drinking session.

The Caernarvon Castle, Camden

I come here on Sundays every few months or so. It has a decent casual crowd unlike the Soho rock scene which is far to clicky. It gets packed though but it's worth it; the Metal Works band which play there on Sundays are brilliant and play all the best metal tunes; especially my favourite AC/DC. Highly recomend to any one to see them, but like I said it is rammed. Any way got to go it is Sunday and I'm off out. Guess where!

The Worlds End, Camden

A huge pub thats for sure, It is too big and people too varied to sum it up on the whole. It is a great meeting point and if your a face on the rock scene will more than likely bump into some one from it. I like going on a sunday the most in the afternoon and it serves Lowenbrau too not bad.

The Ship, Soho

I like this pub it's a rock pub but does not get full of pretentuos people like the Fox further down the street. It has the right ballance of being a rock pub but still being down to Earth. The people are proper and the prices are ok. The best pub in Soho that I've been to and I've been to my share. John the regular in theer is also a proper bloke see you soon matey!

Garlic and Shots, Soho

This place at first seems tiny however the more you go the more noks and crannys you find. It has lots of character kind of goth but tounge in cheek with road signs for tables?! The music is good and the shots are alright. It's a Swedish bar so alot of Scandinavian women go there and they are hot too. Jeff and Janet the bar staff downstairs are ok but the ones upstairs are grupmy, maybe because they do the garlic side of things (ie cooking) up there rather than the shot side downstairs? However it gets packed, too packed and I'm a man who likes to drink in my own comfort.
