The Regis, Bognor Regis

took my family to this pub as I was told it had a ball park for my three year old daughter to play in. When I parked outside I looked at the pub and its tired paintwork and thought Oh my God what am I letting myself in for.

Inside is nothing special but its not unclean. The ball park is fairly small but good enough to keep my three year old occupied for a couple of hours.

What is very good about this premises are the following points.

1) The staff are the most friendly I have encountered in a long time, They made me feel very welcome and the service was second to none. This was not just one or two of the staff but also the waitresses.

2)The food- There was 5 meals brought out to our table, all was of good portions and very nice to eat. Lets not kid ourselfs here, it will not win any awards but it is good honest food. and of very good value (Mon-thurs two mains for 9) unfortunatley I went on a sunday.

3)it does not have an extensive beer menu but my old man enjoyed his and that says alot as he is the first to complain if there is anything wrong.

There are kids running around and I suggest that if you are looking for somewhere quite or romantic this is not the place for you. If you have kids and want a clean safe place that does great food with excellant service then this is a great place to come.

I live in Worthing and I wish it had something like this. Well done to all

The World's End, Patching

Went with family (10 of us) for a meal. It took about an half an hour to get everything ordered as everytime the order was made at the bar they had run out of something. It would have been easier for staff to tell us what they had left.

When food did arrive it was of poor quality. I had the spare ribs and they came out in a bowl, they were luke warm at best and not very tasty. One of the orders never came out at all and had to be asked for again, this resulted in the food arriving when everyone else had eaten.

This is the second time that I have had an average meal in this premises and I will not be trying a third.

The Swallows Return, Worthing

Ventured in to this pub with my wife and two young children for a bite to eat.

The pub itself is nice and it has probably the best male toilets in worthing. Very clean.

The only thing that let it down was the food, though edible it was nothing special and a bit overpriced for what is was.

I had the burger and chips (8) a handful of chips and a burger in a bun. For 8 I expected at least a side salad.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying don't go here just don't expect a decent meal.

The Vintners Parrot, Worthing

Went to watch the cup final at this pub, Chelsea v Spurs. Has 2 big screens.

Pub was full and of good nature.

The only complaints I have are that the beer was served in plastic pots and when I went to get a round the blonde barmaid asked me if I supported Chelsea or spurs. When I told her Chelsea she said " Well I'm not serving you then" and walked off. At first I thought she was joking but she never returned and I had to wait another 5 minutes to get served.

The gents toilets are in desperate need of a revamp.
