The Eastnor Castle, Camden

Valbear - I don't know what you are on about, sounds like you're probably one of them metrosexual types so no wonder they looked at you funny, this is a workers pub.

Three other Norfolk boys and I found ourselves in the middle of a council estate on Saturday afternoon whilst trying to walk from Kings Cross to Camden centre and I have to admit to thinking that this had potential to be one of the afternoons that simply goes down in history as a 'drunken misadventure'. However, I'm pleased to say that whatever this gem of a freehouse lacked in modern decr it more than made up for in warmth and hospitality.
The locals (big up Gordon, Eric and John) seemed free of any communicable diseases and were chatty, friendly and even bought us all a pint.
I have a lot of time for any pub that has Elvis Costello - Oliver's Army on the jukebox whilst managing to keep a pint at a reasonable price (2.50) all this combined with the fact that I didn't get stabbed is the reason I'm scoring it a big fat 10.

Oh and to the geezer (I think it was John) who got talked out of betting a score on the boxing thanks to my mate when he said there was no way De La Hoya would get knocked out....from one John to another his name is LEE CROSSWELL and a phone number and address can be provided if required.
