| This pub has been demolished. Passed the site yesterday and the bulldozers were just finishing their work. Not being local I don't know why this community has lost its pub or what is going to replace it. If I had a crytal ball, however, I'd probably see one of the big supermarket chains opening a Metro or Express on the site with the result that the attractive row of local shops adjacent to the former pub will soon be following it into oblivion. edchambers - 3 Mar 2010 21:48 |
