The Hatch, Old Basing

Visited here today for our office team lunch for 11 people. Prebooked food in advance several weeks ago. Starters took 40 mins to arrive but quality was good. Mains took around another 30 minutes to come out and were very disappointing. All meals were tepid except one which was cold. The waitress did offer to reheat this one but no form of apology offered. Roast potatoes and stuffing balls were so hard you couldnt cut into them and the veg had been cooked to a mush. Puddings were reasonable. Given that there were only 2 other people in the pub service and food should have been much better. The worst food I have eaten out this year.

The Rowbarge Hotel, St Johns

Nice Sunday lunch, Friendly Staff and reasonably priced. Nice sort of customer although would be nice if they could ban children from the restaurant as they tend to spoil a relaxing Sunday. A shame that the parking isnt better but not far from the lye car park.

Bridge Barn, Woking

Below Average food and really terrible service. Had to wait ages for food, after wiating ages to pay had to get up and find the waitress who seemed completly uninterested in sorting out our bill. Restaurant was fairly empty so I dread to think how bad it is when its busy. One to avoid!

The Anglers Retreat, Staines

Nice basic Sunday lunch, slow service for a pub but price was very reasonable. Would have been nice to be offered some sauces and when I did ask they came in sachets, cafe style.
