I'm genuinely at a loss for words. These days the ONLY reason to enter this establishment is to visit Jed ( the bar man) on a Friday night.
The place is spotlessly clean but if you have no customers, it's not going to get dirty. A lot of the regulars have been made to feel unwelcome. The Landlord rarely serves a full pint and seems confused by the concept of consistent pricing. I think he may be having problems understanding how a till works.

Of course if you actually want beer other than Super chilled Guinness, go elsewhere.

My sincere apologies. It was the Crown at Shirley High Street, not this one which I'm sure is a true community pub.

Lovely pub. Beer well kept, staff attentative, locals friendly and food excellent. Everything we could ask for. We will be going back.

The Black Horse, Hertford
The BEST pub in Hertford. Attentative bar staff with excellent customer service skills. There is a discount for CAMRA members too. Beers are well kept and constantly changing.
