The Pride of Paddington, Paddington

Didn't realize that it was under new management. Wondering if they still do the enormous plate of fish and chips with the ridiculously large fish. Staff were a hoot and the lanlord brilliant. Lots of Chelsea boys in there on some saturdays but all with a good attitude win or lose. Will have to check it out. Thought the beer was fine but obviously as expensive as your average London pub.

The White Horse, Soho

I love it. One of only three Sam Smith pubs I've been to but I always pop in for a beautiful pint of Stout when I'm shopping on Oxford Street. In the day you can get a seat upstairs and get a good view down to shaftsbury avenue and the customers are decent too. Same efficient, polite chubbyish bloke always seems to be working there. Haven't been for a while but I'm hoping he still is. Not to be rude but the fact that he's English adds that extra traditional touch to a traditional boozer. The foreign girls they employ are perfectly capable as well. Sam S. pub so damn good prices

The Princess Louise, Holborn

Love this pub to bits. Friendly service (like the staff actually appreciate working in such a beautiful building) Great pint of SS stout and quality clientel. Worth going out of your way for.

The Fountains Abbey, Paddington

Depressing, tired looking staff. Service with a sigh. There's about four pubs within 400 metres of it that are about 300 times as deserving of your hard earned cash. Has been a while since I drank there so possibly the management has changed. Convenient proximity to a large hospital with it's staff and first (and probably only) time visits from the tourists staying in the surrounding hotels probably keeps the place going.
