It's a place to go if you're waiting for a train & haven't time to go anywhere better. That's about it.

A reasonable place to escape the rain and wait for someone. The staff were quite friendly and efficient. I enjoyed my sandwich, but felt that the food was generally terribly overpriced.

It was an awful evening.
First of all the pub is very noisy and is like a canteen.
But the main thing is, I gave them 20 pounds and they said I gave 10!
I was absolutely sure of what I gave them because 2 minutes before I went to the ATP for money. It was funny because when I said that I will add some comments on Internet, I was very surprise to hear from the manager that all the customers say that. Is that mean that they use to do that and I am not the only one?
At the end, he told that that he will refuse to serve us in the future…. Did they think that I want come back after that? :-) as a metter a fect we had a dinner after and we quickly left a 7.30pm

I spent a week in London very recently with a friend and as this appeared to be the only pub in Paddington open 'til midnight we went a few times. It gets very busy, mostly with locals, but despite that there was never much of a wait at the bar. On our last visit (Sat night at around 8pm) we had to wait over an hour for our meal. I have to say it was worth the wait though - superb fish and chips, huge portion, excellent quality. The staff are all very friendly too. I'd definitely recommend this place.

This is the best pub in the area.

and it is such a pity that there is more comments about the managment then the "humourless south african bar staff" ;)

love you all
