What is it with Mitchells and Butler pubs?
A nice environment, but as per the Washington in NW3, miserable staff who seem to have no idea as to how to work on a bar.

By far and away the best pub in Winchester; warm and cosy in the winter, cracking garden in the summer.
A shame I live in London and don't get to visit very often.

My local, a good pub, but let down by the clueless staff. The service is rubbish at the best of times. When it gets busy I wouldn't bother; the pretentious staff seem to spend more time checking their reflections in the mirror than serving.

The Pride of Spitalfields, Shoreditch
Without a doubt one of the best pubs in London with a great atmosphere and good ales on tap; this is coming from someone who rarely drinks beer!
