The Old Granary, Wareham

Took my Mother here for a Birthday lunch. We had a really good lunch, the weather wasn't great but we still sat on the stunning terrace and enjoyed a tapas board with extra bits, a glass of pinot and some really good coffee. The service was good, the location is unbeatable, this is a really good restaurant. The food was excellent and it was less than 30 so a good Birthday treat. I also went there a few weeks back with friends and we all had a great time, recommend from that visit the monkfish and the burger!

The Grasshopper, Parkstone

I took a friend to this old haunt last week and WHAT A DIFFERENCE A RE-FIT MAKES! There is nothing locally to match the spacious dining with the seperate amazing 'coffee' areas. We had fantastic service, we just had coffees some tap water starters and desserts. I had mackarel pate (to die for), followed by an almond and berry tart with clotted cream ice cream - I can't remember what my friend had but she loved it. All for less than 20. I cannot recommend it highly enough - will be a regular visitor. I was amazed because it was so quiet - get down there soon before everyone else discovers it!

The Coventry Arms, Corfe Mullen

This is one of my favourite pubs, it is warm and cosy and very special. Lots of nooks and crannies for intimate conversation and the staff have always been lovely. I've had a great company meal there also. The menu usually has some original ideas and it's so nice to eat there when the local gamekeeper or fishmonger comes in to offer their catch. Nice to support local business!
