| This is a great pub. A good buzz in the main bar and the back room is a fine venue when they have bands on. The quiz nights a bit of a laugh too. Cant comment on the food these days although it used to be very good when John and Gill ran the place. For a night out though the pubs fine and the beers are always well kept. | I don't usually review pubs twice, but I had the misfortune of having to visit this dump again on Sunday 18th February. Nothing has changed. What is advertised as 'Poole's Best Carvery' must conrtravene several trading standards and ASA regulations. Small plates (not the big plates pictured on their ads), luke warm tasteless food, delays with a child food order, and staff that just don't care. You know things are bad when staff don't ask 'how was your meal' They already know it's bad. Avoid. Vote with your wallet and go elsewhere. Minesapint63 - 19 Feb 2007 10:49 |
