The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

I had spotted this brilliant pub had been omitted from the GBG but didn't realise until now it was under threat of closure! Why aren't North London CAMRA doing more to save it? As for the Duke of Hamilton in Hampstead perhaps it shouldn't be in the GBG because it's not a very good pub? Poor and predictable ales with dreadful service!

The Wenlock is a brilliant pub one of the very best in the world!

Wells Tavern, Exeter

Really freindly boozer with 4 real ales and a proper cider on. Away fan friendly and right next to the footie ground.

The Great Western Hotel, Exeter

An excellent pub right next to the station. Friendly staff and superb choice of ales. Well worth a visit.

The Portman, Bournemouth

Used this pub as an away fan several times and always found it a decent boozer close to the footie ground. However on our last visit (25/09/2010) we were refuse entry by a very surly and mildly threatening landlord. I pointed out that we'd used the pub before and it was really good, his response was 'It's changed'. Pub was empty as well and there would have been 30 or 40 Carlisle fans spending money in his pub who would have been no trouble at all! His loss.

Ended up in the Weatherspoons down the road, seems like the only pub round Bournemouth FC that lets away fans in. Shame cos Id always found Bournemouth be a friendly place previously.
