Marneys Village Inn, Weston Green

What a lovely pub, amazing location and a really cosy atmosphere. Our food was great and the staff all really friendly and helpful which added to the overall feeling. We all commented on the fact that it was great to go to a place where the staff actually look as if they are enjoying themselves. Our waitress (sorry I have to say this, was the most stunning tall brunette!!) bent over backwards to be friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The place was really busy but the staff didn't seem stressed and didn't stop them being friendly. What a lovely pub!

The Canbury Arms, Kingston Upon Thames

I haven't really come across too many noisy children, although everyone I know who has been there, has warned me, therefore I tend to avoid those times - which I know is not convenient for everyone, I often go weekday lunchtimes! I think the pub is smart, very comfortable, has a great atmosphere and the staff are absolutely charming. It is so nice to enter a pub that doesn't look or smell grubby. Keep up the good work. Fantastic. Enjoy the food too, always fresh tasting and nicely presented and the wine always well chilled. Well done.

The Norbiton and Dragon, Norbiton

LAttractive pub garden but feel that the pub is on the decline. Agreed with a previous comment that it is a bit 'rough' and left the pub for that very reason the other day. Used to be a lovely garden to bring children but wouldn't do it now. Pub food also not as good, although restaurant food is often good and occasionally average. Find the restaurant staff and bit indifferent, however, bar staff are always friendly. Think it looks tacky inside.

The Running Horses, Mickleham

Also, don't understand low rating. My husband and I have been here several times in the last year, although have only ever eaten outside. Food excellent, both quality and in the amount, although seating outside is by the road, doesn't detract from atmosphere. Wine very good, nice and chilled. Always been impressed by friendly staff. Inside does lack atmosphere though. Love it here.

The Cricketers, Cobham

Used to be one of our favourite pubs, but not for quite a while now. However, despite this we have been back several times to see if it has improved, won't bother again, Our last visit: service indifferent, food average and tables and bars sticky and grubby. What a shame, such a nice pub garden on a sunny day and is cosy by the fire on a cold evening.
