Ye Olde Mitre Inne, Barnet

Still the best pub in Barnet.

The Misty Moon, Barnet

New management making the best of this lately. Good range of beers and good quality. Could do with a few more ale drinkers to keep this going and the music could be turned down or restricted to the back of the pub for those that might appreciate it more. Will be going back.

The Black Horse, Barnet

Have been giving the newly refurbished Black Horse a couple of goes. It looks ok and has a good range of beers. However, it's more a gastro pub really. The beers are too expensive at £3.50 a pint and of average quality and £4.75 for a small bottle of Leffe is almost theft. We commented on the price of the Leffe as felt it was either wrung up wrong or the system had the prices incorrectly listed - the answer from the "barman" was that is was correct, we commented that it was way cheaper in other pubs in Barnet notably the Mitre down the road and he said "perhaps we should go to the Mitre then..." Well guess what...? We did and will not be going back to the Black Horse - a real waste and a shame as this place had potential and I was hoping for another decent real ale pub in Barnet.

Ye Olde Mitre Inne, Barnet

This pub has recently started hosting a live jazz-blues band, who are excellent. They are on one Sunday of each month. The place has also had a small refurb with the covered area now fully enclosed and heated. It remains the best pub in Barnet by a considerable margin...

Ye Olde Mitre Inne, Barnet

This pub continues to impress, it's one of the best in Barnet. If you're passing pop in, beer is always excelent and the garden is a fine place to be this summer!

Great pub! Good improvements made by the current Guvner, Gary. This is what a Public House should be, friendly, no yobs, good food, great beer, decent opening hours. It's got everything.

A good and ever changing range of well kept Real Ales, Cider on tap and decent lagers. Food is good too. Traditional interior in keeping with the heritage of the pub and its history. Large well kept garden and the new stable lounge is a welcome addition.

Fine for all the family, fine for Real Ale lovers, best of all its my local :-)
