I was pretty impressed with The Misty Moon when I visited last Saturday afternoon.

I found the staff to be very friendly and the beer cheap. I had a bite to eat and it was of the standard that you would expect in a pub and it didn’t break the bank.

I was very surprised that it wasn’t busier because it is excellent for watching football, well worth a visit.

This pub has gone through various name changes. A few years ago the hand pulled bitter beers always tasted like "vinegar", a friend of mine said, but now that taste has gone, and the pub has certainly got better in the last few months. Unfortunately, the toilets are still badly kept, and if your feet are over size 5 you will find the walk down the steep stairs to get to the bogs very tricky.

I suspect it was better off as a Wetherspoons, at least the beer would have been OK. Now one whole row of pumps out of use and just GK IPA and Speckled Hen on the other, both in dubious condition. Otherwise all a bit scruffy, and very quiet. And bogs dreadful, no lock.

Had a good night in there on Christmas Eve. They had a band playing and the place seemed livelier than most the other pubs in Barnet that night.

Long narrow former Wetherspoon's pub opposite "The Spires" shopping centre. Barstaff are very friendly but are few in number so service whilst good may take a while.
Nice atmosphere if a little on the quiet side and a good choice for a venue to watch football as they show every game they possibly can on good high quality plasms TVs.
Beer selection is reasonable and quality variable but generally good.
Prices are very competitive. Kitchen was closed when I visited so no idea what the food is like sadly.
Not bad at all in the final analysis but more one for a quiet pint with the paper or a good spot for a private conversation rather than a boisterous night out.
