This place is full of disease, anger, loud dimwitted tourists and mangy old man dogs. It will not do.

The Quayside, Whitstable

What are they thinking in there, the surly thing behind the bar snarled at me when I ordered and was sniffing constantly and I saw no attempt made by it to deal with its nose or wash its hands. I have no idea what gender it was but it was none too clean.

All of the ales had been got by some fly or another. It had been raining and all the dogs in there smelled damp and dirty which made me want to vomit which I nearly did. Obviously somne seagulls had got in or pigeons at best because I could see bird excrement on the inside window ledges and on the slops table.

Don't go in there ever, I didn't finish my pint and felt unwell all night.

The Smack, Whitstable

I counted 14 dogs and 3 cats all running about the place which had a strong odour of animal excrement etc. The noise of barking, shrieking and growling was hideous. My wife became very scared and soon afterwards a cat panicked and slashed at my ankle. We had to leave.
