Seemed Ok a couple of guest ales on Brakespears and another strange one. Didn't taste perfect but the barmais was very friendly and cheery. It's OK. mitomighty - 27 Jul 2006 13:54
a slice of old school Wandsworth.....this is what a lot of pubs used to be like... Nothing to say about it whatsoever. evers. - 29 Jan 2006 00:37
ahhhh! Have mercey on my soul. I agree with the other guy, Wetherspoons was a aweful pub but now this plaxce is aweful. I drove past it at 10.30am last monday and old guys where downing their pints of Stout. Its a shame because it could of been a lovely pub considering the location, but no, its has to be the prime place to spend your War Pention. TheWizard - 11 May 2005 02:51
Much worse-than-it-should-be watering hole on the one-way system. Worst aspect is that it is one of the smokiest pubs in the world (there's no scientific evidence for this, but it is a fact). But it is very popular all day, usually with the same people who have been in all day, and they have probably been attracted by the cheap beer (which doesn't taste too bad, to be honest, and they usually have some interesting guest beers on) oneoverthe8 - 7 Apr 2005 19:45
This pub used to be alright even as little as 2 years ago but it's REALLY gone down hill.... which is a shame considering it's virtually across the road from me! Even by Wetherspoon standards this pub has absolutely NO atmosphere. It's grotty & smokey. The food is abysmal... when they actually bother to serve it. Half the time the bar staff can't speak english (which is a shame because there used to be some great staff here once upon a time). If you want to amuse yourself though, it can be fun to try and match the (very dodgy) clientle to famous people. There are regulars there that look like Startsky & Hutch, another (I think) guy that looks like a cross between Galadriel & Gollum from Lord Of The Rings and 2 older gents that look like 2 famous Russian presedents! No, on second thoughs.... just buy some wine and stay at home instead! benfuller71 - 30 Jan 2005 14:13
