Went past this place the other day and it was all boarded up and derelict. Looks like it has shut up shop. Matt43 - 28 Nov 2008 23:46
Loved the pub - proper friendly local with lots of character. Unfortunately the Youngs was dire. mtaylor40 - 11 Apr 2008 23:09
Triffic little local pub - yes, people there wear baseball caps and it's a Chelsea pub, but it's good natured, even the dog, and they sell good Young's beer. beeronaut - 27 Dec 2006 23:55
I'd try it again though because apart from the blue paint and pictures, scarves etc everywhere it has character. I hope the beer is better next time. I've no idea if it's got a reputation for being lairy or not so I wouldn't paint it with that brush. mitomighty - 7 Aug 2006 17:28
| Small basic one bar pub on the just off the one way system on the road to Putney. Yes - as the previous contributor pointed out - it's a Chelsea pub, which is hardly a selling point, but, perhaps because there was 6 of us on our Wandsworth crawl last Thursday night, we didn't come to any grief. Note the John Youngs London Lager mirror - you don't see those on the Youngs circuit very often any more - in fact I cant immediately recollect the last time I saw one at all.
