One of the better JD Weatherspoons. Had a decent meal and the range of ales was good and well kept too. They were not happy with the children being in unless we ate but as we were eating it didnt matter. Big building very close to Foregate station, the ideal place to go before catching your train! :) GarmischP - 23 May 2010 11:09
Popped in last month as part of a crawl - took the opportunity of getting some food in, but the ales we tried were in good nick and a bit out of the ordinary.A better than average JDW pub. Ordinary - 29 Mar 2010 22:28
Huge JDW converted from a telephone exchange. There’s a long bar in the main room and a smaller room to the left. When we visited there was also a bar set up on the left which was going to have some of the festival beers on stillage. There are 10 handpumps on the bar and as they were having their own Halloween beer festival there was a decent selection of spooky brews on. I had 2 beers from Blackwater Darkness and Voodoo both were very good. One of the better JDWs in our opinion as the beer was good as was the service. ROBCamra - 12 Nov 2009 14:59
Enjoyed our visit today as it is one of the better Spoons pubs, and always seems to have intersting guests on. Enjoyed Festival Emerald and Malvern Hills Green Pear this visit - both new beers for me, and both in excellent condition. Service good and it was clean. They do deserve their 2010 GBG status. There is a lot of activity planned for the start of the Spoons fest on 28th with fancy dress and meet the brewer set ups over the course of the day. We were told beer is to be served from the casks too. gillhalfpint - 21 Oct 2009 18:04
A couple of recent visits to Worcester meant couple of visits to The Postal Order and thats a good thing. I really like this pub, its not going to be everyones cup of tea, but it ticks all the basic boxes. This pub is in the 2009 Good Beer Guide (havnt checked out 2010 yet) and it deserves to be. On the ocassions I've visited there have been between 4 and 6 guests plus Abbot Ale and Pedigree, oh and that crap Ruddles. The guests have always been interesting and in good condition. This is a old skool Wetherspoons so it is quite dark in there but saying that its clean and well presented. My only critisim is the toilets, when you use them its like being sent to the dungens. There clean and in good order but there down some dark stairs near the front door and when your down there you feel cut off from the rest of the world, ok maybe thats a bit OTT but they do let the place down. Makes me want to slap the designer Wetherspoons used. Otherwise a great ale pub. thatchrisdude - 19 Sep 2009 18:46
