| Went in there last Saturday night for a quick drink. Place was fairly busy and it definitely is a nice traditional boozer. It was only let down by a really bad stale smell. Ferg_White - 25 Feb 2008 12:17 |
| Had a booking at a local restaurant last night and popped into this place beforehand as we were a bit early based on the previous reviews. Glad we did. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere, the Spurs game was on but I didn't feel that this took over as it can in some places. Most of the patrons seemed to be just chatting and laughing away. | The frontage of this pub looked so enticing as we passed by that we couldn't resist popping in for a look. What we found was a traditional, friendly, one roomed boozer with a few locals watching the Saturday afternoon horse racing on the big screen TV and having a laugh with the landlord. On the beer front there were 3 real ales, (Adnams Bitter, Deuchers IPA and St Austell Tribute). We tried the St Austell (£3.00/pint) and it was excellent.
