We all hated our trip here and couldn't get out quickly enough to laugh about it and shake-off its commically moody atmosphere. It's truly ridiculously tacky in every sense and it could quite easily be the subject of a p**s-taking TV 'mockumentary'.

The most over rated drinking establishment I have ever known, If you turned the lights on, you would get a better opinion. Very expensive, or seems to be, for very below average goods.

Sugar Hut Village is terrible. The food was extermley overpriced and wasn't very good at all. Drinks are even more overpriced. At times the staff were rude and very pushy. Decor is very dark and dingy, especially in the bar. Avoid Sugar Hut Village like the plague if you are after a nice meal out. People that go here obviously have more money than sense. Hated every minute of it.

I haven't read anything on The Sugar Hut to entice me in. Up until now I have been put off by the exterior. Apart from having in my opinion a daft name for an Essex pub, the outside of the building looks more like the Adams Family house. The walls lok grubby and the curtains dark and creepy, as you walk past there's the expectation of Dracula peering out at you. Several attempts at plants and trees in the doorway are never looked after, just adding to the wrong end of town look.

Over 7 quid for a single G&T?? I'm not exactly tight, but does that seem a touch excessive to anyone else?? You can get decent value food when toptable do a 50% offer though.
Generally it was designed for people with wallets larger than their brains.
