| Having read about this pub and hearing about it by word of mouth we decided to visit it.WHAT A FABULOUS PLACE! Discreetly hidden off the main road at Stadhampton, upon entering we were politely greeted and ask if we would like to eat. We agreed too and were told that there would be a wait for a table. Whilst waiting we sat at the bar and were served with tip top polite and very courteous staff. The wine list was very extensive and one of the bar staff guided us through some of the wines that we were'nt familiar with.The staff certainly knew what they were talking about, their expertise with the drinks & food menu was exemplary. | This is my favourite pub of ALL. Where do I start..........Excellent choice of well kept beers, wine list fit for a king,a list of rare malts as long as my arm, rare and hard to find exoctic spirits and cocktails,extensive menu serving good quality well presented food, great atmosphere, good music without being intrusive.Good service from very well trained staff. Spotless toilets. Lovely gardens with water features. Being a freehouse it's not tied to any stupid policies or regulated beer etc. Five star accomodation is provided with various "themed" rooms but at a five star price.A well run, well looked after pub. | Cracking place. A really really great pub/bar where new and chic meets old in a collision that works so well and it has a brilliant atmosphere. Great choice of lagers and beers, both bottled and draught. They are reputed to have Champagne on tap although I never saw this. Not the most spacious of bars due to a lot of room being taken up by tables for evening bar meals. They have two restaurants there with a gastro pub type menu in one and a Thai menu in the other. I opted for the former and it was good. They have a good slection of stoggies for post dinner, which are kept perfectly.
