| this pub has been managed and owned by the same person for the last 25 years so they must be doing something right the food is excellent as is the service, hospitallity and beer i would definatly go back. antick - 6 May 2009 10:36 |
| This afternoon I actually got of my train to have a pint in here as I had not been before and after thirteen (yes thirteen) minutes I hadn’t managed to get served so I left and got on the next train to Kew. Landlord, Pride and Rosey Nosey were available along with some standard lager. I found the barmaid to be quite flustered serving a work party and the manageress was more interested sorting out food orders. A proper barman/maid would have had no problem with the amount of customers, but this outfit seem to fall short of my required standards which are very easy to attain. It’s unfortunate as the pub isn’t that bad inside and there is a pool table and also a dartboard case on the wall, but no oche so I’m not sure if there is a dartboard actually in there. | As a London Pride fan, I always seek out pubs that sell this excellent beer. This pub is around the corner from my office and is ok. Beer is well kept and they're not overly expensive. Some of the local residents can make you feel a little unwelcome. Worth a visit Hanwale - 13 Oct 2008 13:05 |
| What this pub lacks in ambience it more than makes up for by the way it looks after its' guests and keeps its' ale. My parents often stay at the pub when they're in Brentford visiting us, the staff look after them like their own family and the accomodation is clean and very good value (currently £60 per night for a double room including cooked breakfast - difficult to find elsewhere in West London). Beer wise, Fullers London Pride and Timothy Taylors Landlord are the staples. Very well kept, I think amongst the best in Brentford (and I've tried most of 'em).
