| Excellent cosy traditional English pub. A friendly welcome with pleasant clientele and very pleasant beer. The seasonal beer is London Porter which was very good indeed. | Visited 1 June 2007. Did not try the food. Selection of cask ale was excellent and serving staff were of the young student type, but cheerful and helpful. Served reasonably full measures as well. Not long to wait now for the smoking ban which will further improve this pub. Really nice setting. It would be great if the owners had the stream cleared out a bit.
