A hiddley piddley place and also given its name had only women in at 5.30pm on a Saturday! Second best pub in Tonbridge!

I lived in Tonbridge for two years, just around the corner from this pub - but never actually paid it a visit.

Then, over the Xmas period just gone, I visited twice and found the place to be extremely good. The beer - Harveys - was excellent, with a very friendly service.

The pub has a fairly low ceiling and snug feel about it. There is a TV in the pub, but it isn't too intrusive - and plenty of corners to hide away from the footie crowd (if there's a game on).

It has quite an olde worldy charm about it - feels just like a real pub should - a place for conversation and relaxation.

Not the best-kept pint of Harveys in town, but this smallish backstreet pub makes a pleasant enough change from some of the more obvious venues along the nearby Tonbridge High Street.
