| Cracking place. Great staff, good beer, the best local in the world (I should know). No place like home and my home is nothing like this place thank god. hardhead - 28 Feb 2008 22:42 |
| Very good pub, great atmosphere, great bar staff, great service. Real Irish atmosphere, not just a theme pub at all! Live music fantastic every weekend and the craic is always mighty! I have never found that the young customers are ever rude and of course drinks will be spilt but what can expect if you want to go to a busy pub! If you can't handle that then stay at home!! Never seen a fight break out in all my times visiting here unlike other pubs in the area! LNG - 4 Dec 2006 21:27 |
| I agree with redvarnish3 was a brill pub a couple of years ago, tried to get in there on St Patricks Night (no chance) but did go in there ,last new years eve and not a good as the year before, lots of KIDS which spolt it as we were looking over our shoulders waiting for a fight. There are a few stalls at the bar and nobody moves when you try and get away from (NEAR) the bar with your drinks and you always get someones drink spilt on you so dont wear anything that is dry clean only! I think if the manager gets the age of the customers checked out and gets the kids out and the oldd customers might be happy to come back .Dont forget a pub is only popular while it is fasionable to drink in by youR mates but the old regular is the loyal customer that will keep those till bells ringing. | Yes a very good pub ... used to be better though, before the youngsters from ilford started coming. it was just like being back in the old country when it opened, and had more charm that a hatful of pies, but it's a little too popular now so has lost some of its charm. dont go on st patricks day, it's so packed the essex fire brigade should shut it down, and its full of 16 yr old girls in green hats. 4 yrs ago i'd have given it a 10 ... now its barely a 7. redvarnish3 - 16 Sep 2006 01:15 |
