| Now reopened; looks just the same as it did before it closed. They'll need to up their game now Zulu's has been transformed and reopened as the Red Lion. E17Bee - 13 Jul 2011 13:11 |
| Been closed for several weeks, but apparently reopening shortly. Hope the new landlord puts some decent beer in.... E17Bee - 7 Jul 2011 12:30 |
| Reported locally that licence is suspended for one month from 7th June. TiaMariaJim - 10 Jun 2011 09:42 |
| I'm not generally one for posting adverse reviews, so I thought it was about time to change that. This place is perfectly convivial, and seems to have something of a tenuous Irish connection. They have Sky Sports, and a pretty mixed but down-to-earth crowd. I've heard some comments about unpleasant characters drinking in there, but I personally have never seen any bother. I've got good memories of the place, but that's more to do with the people I was with rather than the venue. It's not particularly awful, but it has to lose big marks from me just because of its appalling selection of beer. Fosters, Carlsberg Export, landfill Guinness... pretty woeful really. | not keen on the people who go to this pub at all!! id rather pay extra money to travel into the city and watch the football around like minded people than to be around the low life in there biggzman - 26 Aug 2010 16:37 |
