Just about the perfect pre match pub. I get to see Rangers a couple of times a season so I go in with my season ticket holding mates. There was plenty of staff so there was no waiting and the IPA was fine. TVs kept us up to date of events elsewhere. Many modern people would turn their noses up at this sort of pub, but give me one like this with characters and atmosphere than soft lighting, furnishings and awful background music any time. willesden_seadog - 3 Jan 2012 02:50
Only GK IPA so had a pint of Stella. Your average Joe's kind of pub with a pool table and sports on. Has QPR/Newcastle United/England/Celtic stuff on the walls (and ceiling). Got a bit more adventurous after a few games of pool and tried the GK IPA - wish I hadn't and reverted to lager. We only really stayed onhere because it was lashing down with rain. I suppose at least it's not crammed and standing room only like the pubs on the Green. Snarling_Mallard - 18 Jun 2011 10:17
the white horse is the best pub ive been in, in london the regulars are the best bunch of people you could every meet the drinks are so cheap and the beer garden is immaculate gets cleaned at least twice an hour for fag buts which is the best ive seen around here the bar bar staff and mary (landlady) are the most genuine people you could evey meet i will be coming back here at least few times a week because ive never been to a more friendly atmosphere. toni86 - 2 Apr 2010 23:43
The White Horse of Shepherds Bush, most definitely not to be confused with The White Horse of Parsons Green. If the Parsons Green WH is referred to as the Sloaney Pony, any suggestions to what the Bush WH should be known as.... tim.charles - 20 Feb 2010 07:05
Looks absolutely nothing from the front; in fact, I walked past it many times without really realising that it was a pub. Inside, it is rather larger than one would expect, with a curious 'L'-shaped bar (where the customers are located 'inside' the 'L') as the room extends behind the adjacent building. Rough and ready in terms of decor (and some of the customers), and it retains an old-fashioned 'working mans' feel with a mixture of Irish and North East influences and racing on the television screens. One handpump, serving a decent-enough pint of Greene King IPA. Pool table and reasonable beer garden. Overall, quite a refreshing change from the pubs around Shepherds Bush Green, and handy for a pint if visiting the Empire or Bush Hall. rpadam - 8 Feb 2010 21:48
