Awful place, truly horrible. A few years ago it was one to include on your saturday morning vity centre pub crawl, but now it's just so.... soulless. mattyboy - 3 Jul 2008 12:23
Owned by Marstons now this is ideal if waiting 4 a train @ bns,3 pumps but no ale sadly when visited, food is dirt cheap though if u want a quick snack!! fat_beer_badger - 21 Jun 2008 15:31
Spent ages waiting for service (despite complete lack of custom). Average beer (though had to ask for a 'top up'). Only worth visiting if you've missed your train (and you'd rather be in the warm than on the platform). Avoid on a drinking sesh. mattgirling - 12 Feb 2008 02:50
Firstly is this place not just called The Newt? Everytime i go here i cant see a reference to Cucumber...This is the pub under the ramp isnt it?? For my review, i like the beer and great screens for watching sport. Good service upon my visits but mainly due to large bar and empty seats. 6/10 seaman_max - 12 Apr 2007 16:47
I used to be the assistant Manager here. This place used to be one of the coolest places in Birmingham. Now I find it soul destroying. The atmosphere is non existent and the service is woeful. Thank god I moved to London. RobbGraham - 5 Feb 2007 22:36
