Not the greatest Wetherspoons, with limited real ale, although that perhaps reflects the clientele who seem more lager orientated. Beer was OK and cheap, but nothing special.

Located opposite of Griffin so you have 2 options if one is over crowded. A Wetherspoon's pub. Good food, and ales OK and cheap (around 2 pounds a pint).

t's ok, heaving in summer with the wannabee surfer crowd getting paralytic on relatively cheap beer - - in winter is it empty and cavernous with a decent selction of seating and the chance for a game of pool.

i visit the towan blystra last thursday while on holiday and it has to be one of the worst wetherspoons i had visited!i went to the bar to order a pint of skinners moonshine which i was told was off as they were cleaning the pipes!i then asked for a pint of exmoor 25th anniversary ale it was far to cold and the taste was not good at all!i then asked for a menu but they imformed me that they had run out of food on a thursday afternoon!and to top it off i order a coke for my girlfriend and when the barmaid came back she said sorry it off!a complete joke and a waste of time.i think they should take a leaf out of the book of the wetherspoons in truro which is great for food and real ale.

This is a nice place for a good meal, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. I never noticed much of a problem of rowdiness, although I was not there in the summer. The slection is varied, and it has a bit more character than some in the chain.
