Had a four night stay in Newquay at the end of March 2012. This is a really nice pub for real ale and food at really cheap prices I made full use of their selection of real ales during their month long beer festival.

Made this our "local" for a 5 night stay in Newquay early December 2011. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful service. Good range of local beers and Christmas ales generally well kept. Staff seemed as though they enjoyed their job. Nice eye contact and welcoming smiles. Special mention to Marc who seemed to make extra effort.

Went in this pub a couple of times on a recent visit to cornwall, the staff were friendly enough and service was quick, the real ales were well priced compared to the towns other pubs abd were well kept, the food was standard wetherspoon fare, all in all not a bad place for a quick pint and bite.

Called in a few times. Good price on drinks. Door staff not very friendly. You cant take your drink outside on a warm evening after 11pm. Meals very poor for a weather spoons. No disabled access so dont bother if you cant climb the ten steep steps to the main door. Will serve you at last orders if your lucky ! then five minute latter want you to finish your drink and clear off, Not a very friendly place. The licences are on the left hand side of the bar.
Use it for your needs if you want and look happy about it, because the staff aint. Some staff look like they could do with a good wash.
